A BILL to amend the Code of West Virginia, 1931, as amended, by
adding thereto a new section, designated §5-10-22i, relating
to providing all public retirees a one-time increase of six
percent.
Be it enacted by the Legislature of West Virginia:
That the Code of West Virginia, 1931, as amended, be amended
by adding thereto a new section, designated §5-10-22i to read as
follows:
ARTICLE 10. WEST VIRGINIA PUBLIC EMPLOYEES RETIREMENT ACT.
§5-10-22i. One time increase all retirees.
Notwithstanding any other provision of this code, on the first
day of July, two thousand six
, a one-time six percent increase in
retirement benefits shall be provided to all retirees of this
system
.
NOTE: The purpose of this bill is to provide a one-time
increase of six percent to all public retirees.
